We are a Local Cycle shop based in Hatfield, only short walk away from Hatfield train station. We focus primarily on sales of a range of bikes from kids to road and mountain bikes. Our workshop can cater for all types of bikes and we specialize in high end quality repairs. We over a 40 year period have developed a exclusive one on one cycle fit service. Whilst in store you can sample one of our fine barista served Tiki Tonga coffees.

Welcome to our new website, we have gone through some changes and we will have a newly refurbished shop by spring 2019. We still offer the same great services and expert, friendly advice for all of our customers. 

About Hatfield Cycle Hub

Our History

We have been in Hatfield for over forty years now and have been selling, servicing and repairing bikes throughout this period. During this time there have been a lot of changes within our trade but we have remained focused on customer service which is our key objective as a business. No matter what day you chose to visit or call us you will be greeted by a friendly member of the cycle hub team who will be well qualified in their field, if it be sales, accessories or workshop repairs. Our range of staff are people who just love bikes and cycling all the way through to the ones that have raced at a very high level and vary in ages too. As one of the few independent local cycle shops left we will give you unbiased advice enabling you to make a good decision on which bike/accessories to buy or how to keep your bike in the best and safest condition.

We know that deciding on your next bike can be very confusing so we have a great sales team who would love to talk you through the range. Whether you're looking for a bike for commuting or high end road bike, we will always make time for you. We have chosen some of the best brands that we feel at this moment give the best value for money and will enable you to enjoy the cycling experience that you deserve. We cater for all workshop jobs, big or small, and we currently service the whole of Hertfordshire Police Force's bike fleet. Our workshop is open five days per week where we can work on any bike style, age or condition. Our prices are very competitive usually with same day turnaround. Saturday jobs can be carried out if you are too busy through the week (advanced bookings).

Cycle Hub Cafe

At CycleHub, we want to give our customers the most enjoyable shopping experience, one that will keep them coming back to our store time and time again. We have found that having a cafe open to the customers and public allows customers and cyclists to use the shop as a hub where they can pop in and grab a great cup of coffee, tea or hot chocolate. We also provide our customers with a selection of soft drinks and snacks to enjoy when they spend time in the cafe.

Workshop

Here at CycleHub, we specialize in repairs and servicing of bikes weather the bike is new or 70 years old, a member of our team will be able to fix the problem you have and if we cant do so we can replace the part(s) as new for you. We offer a range of service in our workshop weather it be a new build to a Bottom Bracket replacement or a simple industry clean to get your bike looking new again. If you are interested in getting your bike serviced in our workshop, simply contact us through the contact form attached or come in with your bike and we can give you a quotation before booking your bike in. Bike Fitting

Here at the cycle hub we are confident that our customers will have the best bike fitting experience possible. We have offered bike fitting in our store for multiple years and feel confident that we can offer a personalized service for any rider whether the rider is training for a 100 mile sportive or is a professional road racer. Our cycle fit will allow riders to get the most out of there riding and minimize potential injury that can come from riding a bike in the incorrect position.

Our full bike fit will start with an initial rider assessment questionnaire, followed by a general flexibility test then moving on to the full fit on the riders bike weather this is a road bike or a time trial bike. During this process you will receive constant feedback throughout the fit and you will have full video analysis at the beginning and end of the fit to compare any changes that we have made. We often find that riders using this fit can be more interested in racing so we can focus more on getting the most efficient yet aerodynamic position possible on the bike. In the full fit we can also look into the riders cleats position where we use lasers to help with preventing potential injury. As well as this we look into what saddle the rider will find most comfortable.

We will recommend after the fit that you do a road test on the bike to give us instant feedback on the changes that we have made to confirm the fact that the position on the bike is comfortable. 

​

We can also offer a mini fit for a rider who requires a simpler fit without video analysis to make sure that you are in a more neutral position to help prevent injury and give the rider a more comfortable ride increasing confidence on the road.

All fits that the shop provide will include a follow up fit after the first fit as we know that some riders could still experience discomfort if they don't get on with their updated position. As well as this we are aware that younger riders who often find themselves growing and needing to have there position adjusted accordingly as they grow. 

​

We can also accommodate for a saddle fit where we find the best saddle from bontragers wide range of saddles and place this on the riders bike in the best position for them. Because bontrager offer their unconditional saddle guarantee we are confident that we will find a saddle that suits the rider even if this means we have to try a multitude of different saddles. Price of this fit doesn't include the saddle chosen.

At the Cycle Hub we specialize in repairs no matter what the the problem is with your bike and we are sure that we can fix it promptly and get you and your bike back on the road. We offer a quick turnaround time because we understand that customers often use there bikes as commuting vehicles which we know you need everyday.
